 New stretch target

I’m Heidi Alexander - Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Swindon South and I’m asking you to help me win this seat at the next general election.

After strong local election results last year, it’s clear that Swindon South is a winnable seat for Labour. Labour must win in areas like Swindon to win across the country and secure a majority in parliament. The election could be as early as May.

I’m ready with a campaign plan and lots of volunteers raring to go. But I need your help.

Between the start of December and the start of February, my Conservative opponent spent up to £8,796 on facebook ads alone. My digital ad spend was a fraction of this. Whilst social media ads aren’t the be-all and end-all of a campaign (I personally prefer chatting to people face to face!), I urgently need to boost my campaign fund so I have the very best chance of making the difference Swindon and the country so desperately need.

I’m asking for help because I know with a well funded online campaign, backed up by the enthusiasm and hard work of our brilliant volunteer team, we can win here and win the country for Labour.

I have the offer of matched funding from a private donor. If I can raise at least £4k from other sources, they will donate £4k towards digital ads and other campaign essentials.

The election could be just around the corner. I need to ramp up my campaign activity urgently, so we have just a few weeks to raise this amount. Please give what you can. Let’s win this together.
