Aim: Sponsor our London to Brighton cyclists and support young people to overcome challenges and get into sustainable employment and education
On 15 June, Spear Islington supporters will be taking on an 54-mile bike ride from London to Brighton to raise money for Spear Islington and the award-winning Spear Programme, which helps 16-24-year-olds facing barriers to work to find and succeed in sustainable employment.

About the Spear Programme
🌟 Igniting a Vision of the Possible
Spear Islington is dedicated to empowering 16 to 24-year-olds, building their confidence and abilities for a successful future. Our Spear Programme, a highly interactive, year-long coaching initiative, transforms lives by facilitating sustainable employment and educational opportunities.
The initial programme runs for six weeks of intensive coaching, followed with a year of support for each participant to ensure long-term success.
It offers young people in Islington and the local area the opportunity to challenge their mindset and improve their work readiness., enabling them to kick start their career and find long-term employment.
🔍 Did You Know?
The majority of young people we work with are referred by one of our partners – local job centres, youth offending teams, social services, and other local council representatives. It costs £2,500 to support each young person through the initial 6 week programme and following 12 months of career support. Funds raised will help directly support the operational costs of this programme.
How you can help
There are three simple ways to get involved and support our project:
1. Make a donation
Every pledge gets us closer to our goal. Early support can help build momentum and inspire others to give too.
2. Spread the word
Share our project with friends, family and your wider network. The more people we reach, the more likely we are to succeed.
3. Volunteer with us
If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch through the ‘Contact’ section using the subject "I want to volunteer my time or expertise" on our project page.
