The Prizes

Our Prize draw has at least 9 prizes to be won and entries will be drawn randomly at the John Blissett Memorial Dinner on Saturday 21st September 2024. Amongst the prizes are:

The Cause

Funds raised will be going directly in to the Labentera (Lepintira) Maasai community in Kenya. John, through Willetts Safaris and local Newcastle charity, Development Direct, spent a number of years building relationships in the community. Over the years he took numerous visitors, including charity trips and school groups, and helped raise funds for projects in the community. Since his passing and the trips he ran are no longer taking place, the community is in need of support to get these projects back up and running. Money raised will be supporting the village borehole so there is access to clean drinking water, addition of teachers accommodation at the nursery school and upgrades to the community camp so that they can be run in a sustainable way by the local community, just as John intended.
